The World Motorsport Congress has convened, with the reform of the existing points system in the spotlight.
The plan was to drastically change the system, but it was ultimately rejected. Instead, they will eliminate the bonus points system. It was introduced in 2019 for those drivers who finished in the top ten and drove the fastest lap. From 2025, it will no longer be there. At the beginning of the season, it was still rumored that instead of the current top ten, in the future, points would be awarded to drivers in positions 1-12.

Ultimately, after the current discussions, this was also rejected and the mentioned change will not come into force, remaining with the current system.
