"Everything is going according to plan, which was also confirmed on the track today. We have made a huge step forward in terms of quality, the guys at the factory have done an excellent job. We can safely say that the FW47 is a clear improvement. Last year we lost a lot of time due to exceeding the weight limit, but we have improved the materials, the quality of the production, which allows us to start much better. Our previous car was very weak in headwinds, we also worked a lot on this, because it caused us a lot of problems. The GPS data showed that even in the headwind we had a lot of difficulties.
We have to see where the competition is, but overall I am very positive. I would like to see us develop, to achieve good results, but this is already a very good sign that we are basically operating as a top team. The arrival of Carlos Sainz is a huge step forward, a great reinforcement for the team! Carlos had the best season of his life last year, he showed incredible performances. He will be a good reference point for me, I can learn a lot from him and I hope he will learn something from me as well," said Alexander Albon with appreciation.
