(Not so much) McLaren boss makes surprising announcement: Zak Brown believes Max Verstappen is spending his final year at Red Bull Racing, while Lando Norris' boss also made a surprising prediction...
Well, Brown believes that Verstappen can build a new career not in the already mentioned Aston Martin, but in another team:
"I think this will be his last season at Red Bull, and I would also bet on where he will continue: at Mercedes! I know a lot of people are speculating about Aston Martin, especially since Adrian Newey moved there. But Adrian needs time to build that culture around him and that team that could become one of the title favourites. Max doesn't like to wait... That's why I think Mercedes would be the best choice for him. And in fact it would be a completely logical step. Mercedes is the most successful team of the last decade, and they struggled last year, but they still won four races and are improving. They have prepared well for the regulation changes in 2026, we know that Toto Wolff is also very interested in Max, and both of their drivers have contracts expiring..." suggested Zak Brown, touching on Verstappen's bombshell.
