A "never-before-seen and experienced" number of spectators are flocking to Fiorano for Lewis Hamilton's first test with Ferrari, with Italian police fearing the situation poses a serious security risk, according to one journalist...
Journalist Roberto Chinchero spoke on the F1 podcast about the need to prepare for incredibly crowded scenes in both Maranello and Fiorano. Chinchero is probably not talking nonsense, as a local he knows the temperament of the Tifosi and the Italian nation in general. He is not alone in his concern:
"Scuderia Ferrari fans in Italy have been eagerly awaiting the moment when Lewis Hamilton gets into the red car from the very first moments. I can't really imagine what awaits us in Maranello and Fiorano. There will be an incredible number of people on the streets, which in some ways carries a security risk. The local police are not calm, which I completely understand, they will have a lot to do. Of course, this is not surprising, the media are very involved, not only the motoring magazines.

The mainstream media has also been covering Hamilton relentlessly, which has only added to the interest that was already there...” Chinchero said.
