The Motorsport Federation elections will be held in December, and now it looks like in addition to the dissatisfaction, Sulayem will have another strong rival.
He came up with the stupidest move in the history of the sport, the punishment of swearing pilots, which they have tightened until 2025. And then there is the desecration of the Monaco Grand Prix with additional pit stops, to mention only the tip of the iceberg, not to mention the fact that due to the dictatorial behavior of the head of the sport, a lot of valuable specialists have left the federation. More and more people believe that the FIA is no longer "a free organization", which raises serious concerns.
According to some media, Susie Wolff is seriously considering the possibility of running for president. Toto Wolff's wife has a personal grudge and connection with Sulayem, because in 2023 he was supposed to (possibly) investigate the compatibility of the Wolffs' marriage. The case caused such outrage that the FIA chief quickly withdrew, but the thorn is certainly still there. Sulayem has so far only replied that he would be happy if he had a rival in the election.
