Pierre Gasly has made a rather surprising prediction. The French driver believes that a favourable alignment of stars and major regulatory changes in 2026 could give Alpine serious chances!
The prevailing opinion in the paddock is that one of the most important elements for 2026 is the development of power units, in which Mercedes, with considerable experience in this area, is leading. Pierre Gasly knows this very well, and also realizes that if someone achieves outstanding results in the field of power, they can have a serious chance in the final count. And from 2026, Mercedes will be the engine supplier to Alpine.
"I am very curious about what will happen because 2026 is a huge opportunity, when I can even win the world championship. That is why I am preparing very intensively for next season. There is no doubt that in 2025 I will also do everything in my power to succeed, but where I reach the goal this year does not count at all, it does not interest me. The team and I are aware of what we can achieve this year and what we can achieve next year, so we have already established a strategy with which we are working. As I said at the presentation in London, if I had to decide, at this moment I would put all our people and all our resources behind the program for 2026. Next year we want to fight for the podium, for victories, that is our goal!" declared the Frenchman with determination.
