Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that he has not come to Maranello to end his career, but quite the opposite: he wants to be the man who wins the world title with Scuderia Ferrari for the first time since 2007.
If anyone, the British player certainly has experience of becoming a champion with a team that once saw better days. He wants to use this, and if he succeeds, he certainly doesn't intend to end his career. Quite the opposite!
"A world title with Scuderia Ferrara for me would not be the eighth, but rather the first. Yes, I want to win the world title with Ferrari, for Ferrari, that's what I'm working on now. Now I don't think at all that it could be the eighth, which would break all records, but as the first, I'm chasing this dream. Although the team has won many titles before, for some time they haven't managed to do it, I feel that it's my mission to help them do it. I am and will be focused on us winning, all my thoughts revolve around how I can be as useful as possible to achieve the goal. If I succeed and win another world title, I certainly don't intend to end my career. I couldn't imagine doing it..." - said Lewis Hamilton.
Fasten your seatbelts, is the ninth coming?
