A quiet and trouble-free day is behind Scuderia Ferrari, and every self-respecting F1 fan knows what a great achievement this is after the first day of testing a new car.
The Bahrain tests are incredibly important for all participants, but if there is anyone for whom it means the most, it is certainly Lewis Hamilton. The good news is that not only he, but also Charles Leclerc spoke very positively at the end of the first day:
"It's always great to finish the day with a new car without any unexpected problems during the programme. Of course, it's too early to talk about performance, we still have to do a lot of analysis and process the data overnight to be smarter for tomorrow," said Leclerc.
"Testing is an exciting thing, I love this part of the year. It's the first moment when we can see who is where and get a feel for what's to come. Well, after one run I can say it was an incredible feeling to drive the SF-25. Right now we're just experimenting, focusing on collecting data and of course getting used to the car as much as possible. But after just one day we've learned a lot and I have a very good feeling!" Hamilton rejoiced.
