New winds are blowing at Haas, where under the management of Ayao Komatsu this season brings profound changes. As part of this, they have a new racing team, the support of Toyota Gazoo Racing and a sporting innovation, the first female engineer in Formula 1 history, who will debut in 2025!
The latest of these changes means the introduction of the first female engineer in Formula 1, which is the result of a reshuffle within the team. A young lady named Laura Müller will be Esteban Ocon’s right-hand woman. Komatsu believes this duo is a winner!
"She's an incredibly driven person. And because Esteban is a similar character, I think they both really fit together. What Laura is best about is that when she discovers a problem, she dives right in, digs really deep, and comes up with a bunch of possible solutions. Some people stop at the first answer that makes sense, but she's not like that. She has a fantastic work ethic, and she knows that if she finds a solution to a problem, she has to answer ten more questions related to that problem.

I am impressed by her commitment, I think they will be very successful together," Ayao Komatsu said about the first lady in the pitwall.
