Rumours are increasingly being heard that Max Verstappen does not intend to follow in the path of his world champions and will put his dreams on hold earlier than his track colleagues.
Previously, Verstappen himself has repeatedly emphasized that he has many plans beyond F1 and does not want to grow old in Formula 1. Keeping the Dutch world champion is not made easier by the continued demagogy from the FIA, which began in 2024, saying that drivers are constantly being harassed and punished for various nonsense... In one of these cases, it was Max Verstappen who was attacked, which the four-time world champion Red Bull Racing still remembers:
“If I have to deal with things like that, I feel like it will clearly affect my vision of the future in Formula 1. Of course it’s very nice to win and become world champion, but I also want to feel good about what I do. And if I can’t be myself because of the restrictions imposed by the FIA, then I have to change that vision of the future…” Verstappen recently said, and he’s not alone in his depressing opinion, as the entire drivers’ union is behind him. If they keep teasing the lion for too long, two things could happen… But we’ll leave that to your imagination.
