As we get closer to the start of the 2025 Formula 1 racing season, more and more people are expressing the opinion that Scuderia Ferrari made a huge mistake by hiring Lewis Hamilton.
For example, Eddie Jordan exploded on the podcast in which he strongly attacked Ferrari management:
"I have a message for John Elkann, the chairman of the group: What the hell was he thinking when he dismissed Carlos Sainz, with whom Scuderia Ferrari was a friendly, predictable, well-organised and developing team? The riders got on very well, the work of Frederic Vasseur was starting to pay off, and he finally had the chance to achieve serious success with the Italian after a long time. And now he has to start thinking about reorganising everything, because he has to bring a new member into the team, with his ego and all the other consequences...
Don't get me wrong, Lewis Hamilton is an exceptionally nice guy, one of the best guys in F1, the problem isn't that. The problem starts when Elkann destroyed a perfectly functioning unit, it's tantamount to suicide that he allowed all this to happen, that they could have fired Carlos..." - Jordan hit out.
