Spoiler: It looks like it will. Let's not dwell on the fact that this decision once again turns F1 into a parody of itself, but rather focus on the heart of the matter.
It happens that we will eventually see such an idiotic decision, which paradoxically may even bring benefits. The FIA recently presented on social media the idea of bringing back the once hugely popular V10 engines. At first glance, it seemed like just a wild speculation, as the series prepares to introduce modern hybrid engines based on synthetic fuels. However, the consequences of F1 are such that yesterday they said something, and today the opposite is implemented, and the same is true with engines. So much so that we can practically book that with the next big change of regulations, one of the biggest events will be the bringing back of V10 engines. Actually, Nikolas Tombazis has already confirmed this in his statement, but if there is anyone who cannot see the sense in his words, let them wait for the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend or for the announcement that will come after.
