However, if he hadn't done it, it wouldn't really be surprising. But he did, and that's why so many of us like him and are waiting for him to return to the game!
Liam Lawson found himself close to a contract with Red Bull Racing at the expense of Daniel Ricciardo, and then he won it. Despite this, the latter did not feel jealous of him at all, quite the opposite. He behaved like a man and a true sportsman!
"I've spoken to Daniel a lot before, and I'll always respect him a lot for how he handled the whole situation. From the beginning of this whole challenge, from the first rumors to the moment it was confirmed that I was going to take his place, he's never said a single bad word about me, not behind my back.
He never saw it as something that concerned us, and he was right, because we don't decide our fate. It was up to the team, and he was very correct towards me all the time. And when I managed to get a contract with Red Bull Racing, he was the first and only current or former driver to congratulate me. That says a lot about the kind of person he is!" Lawson praised his colleague very seriously.
