While all existing Formula 1 related portals are wagging their tails this week as Lewis Hamilton's FAN SITE, Helmut Marko has once again come, seen and said something about wheels!
The Red Bull Racing old-timer believes it is clear as day that Max Verstappen is the clearest of the current F1 field, with Lewis Hamilton far behind him:
"Look at 2024. Our car was not ready to win in many cases, in those moments Max gave that extra push that was needed to succeed. He became world champion because he can find 0.1-0.2 seconds a lap in places where no one else could. Yes, Lewis Hamilton too! Maybe he is still fast, but will he be able to keep up with Max for the whole season? I doubt it. If he gets a great Ferrari and we can only give Max an average Red Bull, then Max will be the winner of the two. So Max Verstappen will do his job, now it's our turn to give him a car that he can win not just occasionally, but constantly.

Unfortunately, last season it didn't work. Sometimes we were fastest and a week later there was nothing left of that speed. We need to extend the range of the car, that's what we're working on," Helmut Marko gave an insight into the long-term plans.
