Although we still have to wait a little longer for the 2025 season to open, work is already underway, soon we will hear the first launches of new cars, filming days will begin, followed by testing… And hop, hop, the opening of the Australian Grand Prix championship is already here!
And immediately a major change, because in this way F1 returns to its roots and established traditions, because for a long time it seemed impossible that the season would not start in Melbourne. Fortunately, traditions prevailed, so on March 16, the 76th Formula 1 season will start in Albert Park, where this year there will also be 24 races, including six sprint weekends. With the first of them, it will take place already in the second race weekend of the year, in Shanghai, and then in Miami, Spa Francorchamps, Austin, Sao Paulo and Losail, where there will already be emotions on Friday.
The grid will reach Europe in mid-May, and Imola will be the first race when the Formula 1 World Championship sets foot on the Old Continent. An important change that concerns us Hungarians is that the Hungarian Grand Prix has regained its traditional place as the last race before the summer break, and the race will take place between 3 and 5 August at the partially renovated Hungaroring. The place and date of the end of the season will remain constant, this year also in early December in Abu Dhabi F1 will end the current racing year.
