Winning is beautiful, even more beautiful is the title of champion, but perhaps the most beautiful thing is when your rivals appreciate it too. Especially when they are those you look up to as role models.
Max Verstappen has never hidden how much he appreciates and likes Fernando Alonso. Now Alonso has made no secret of it… One of the greatest champions in history, if not the greatest, paid tribute to Verstappen, and in doing so, he pointed out a very interesting thing:
"There's no hiding the fact that Max definitely did his best job this year, he squeezed things out of the RB20 that weren't really there... Huge congratulations to him for that! Not only because he won his fourth title, but he won it with a car that wasn't dominant at all. We've seen him shine many times, and it wasn't because of the car, but because of his genius. The best example is the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he showed what real talent means.
