The season-opening Australian Grand Prix is fast approaching and all is not well at Red Bull. At least that is what a recent statement from the team's technical director suggests.
Pierre Wache reported that they feel a certain disappointment about the progress they have managed to achieve. It seems that it is much less than that of their biggest rivals, and in addition the car does not work as they would like and hoped for.
"The first day of testing was, in my opinion, okay. But from the second day onwards, there were some problems that caused us not to find the right scope. And that by definition determines our competitiveness. That's a big problem at the moment... I think the season opener will be very close because McLaren and Ferrari are faster than us," said Wache optimistically despite the difficult situation.
