As you might expect, there was a real frenzy when Lewis Hamilton first appeared in Maranello - although he hasn't yet got behind the wheel, the seven-time world champion. He will do so on Wednesday, but the fans don't care, they are already there, there is not a single free room in the area.

Of course, Scuderia Ferrari also announced the big day, giving us a detailed insight into the program of the new acquisition:

“Lewis arrived at our headquarters in Maranello in the morning and was shown around. From there, his route took him to the Fiorano circuit, where he saw Enzo Ferrari’s home and, in a square named after another seven-time world champion, Michael Schumacher, met Frederic Vasseur and Benedetto Vigna. Here, the traditional first photos were taken with Lewis’s favourite Ferrari, the F40.
They then toured Enzo Ferrari's home, including the famous office from which the founder himself oversaw his team's affairs. Hamilton then returned to HQ, where he met with management, and later in the day, together with Pietro Ferrari, completed an extensive in-depth programme.

He visited the different departments, got to know the team, did a seat test. Work will continue tomorrow, with technical briefings that will begin the real preparations for the upcoming season full of challenges,” stated the Ferrari press office.
