Yuki Tsunoda's situation went from promising to dramatic overnight as Red Bull Racing openly stated they would let him go.
This was done by none other than Christian Horner, the principal of the Red Bull Racing team and its all-powerful decision-maker:
"We are fully aware that if we cannot give Yuki Tsunoda the chance to progress, then I do not see the point in keeping him. We have not managed to bring him into the parent team, and we cannot keep him in our junior team for many years. We have to let him go at some point so that he can look for a better opportunity. Of course, we cannot completely rule out the possibility that he may still have the chance to progress, just as we cannot rule out that Racing Bulls will be more competitive than in previous years.

I spoke to Yuki, he accepted it, he stayed motivated, he wants to show that he will be the guy who gets everything out of RB. We are doing that, we support them technically, next year they will get our rear suspension and gearbox. I believe that the team will develop, mature, and things can change very quickly... For example, did anyone think that in just one year Liam Lawson will be our driver in 2025? It is such a profession, and he is aware of it, he knows that he has to show that he can be relied on," Christian Horner said about Yuki Tsunoda.
If we were Tsunoda, we wouldn't even wait for tomorrow in this team...
